World Most Powerful Army | Global Power Index 2023

The Global Firepower Index ranks the army of a country based on their military strength. India is ranked at fourth place in the index same as last year. The Global Firepower Index, 2022, puts the US at the top, Russia at the second spot, China at No. 3, and India at No. 4.

The Global Firepower Index ranked 145 countries. The Global Firepower ranking utilizes over 60 individual factors to determine a nation's Power Index ('PwrIndx') score. Power Index score relies on several factors ranging from quantity of military units, weapon diversity and financial standing to logistical capabilities and geography.

The Perfect Score:

A Global Power Index (GPI) rating of 0.000 is the perfect score. No country has attained perfect score so far. The smaller the score value, the more powerful is the fighting capability. The GPI does not take into account nuclear capabilities. The ranking is purely in terms of conventional capabilities.
