in this blog, I will tell you about World Economic Forum (WEF). I will tell you about WEF summit 2021, virtually took place in Singapore from January 25-29. We will also talk about highlights of PM Modi's speech. We will know everything about WEF, its motto and Davos agenda-2021. Let's start with me.


WEF Devas Agenda - 2021

The Special annual meeting of World Economic Forum has been held virtually from January 25-29, 2021. Davos agenda 2021 has been hosted in Singapore. Theme of Special annual meeting 2021 was "The Greatest Reset" and It was the 51st meeting of World Economic Forum.

Earlier the meeting was scheduled in Lucerne Burgenstock, Switzerland. But due to Covid-19 pandemic, meeting has been shifted to Singapore. Forum has scheduled one more meeting this year in Singapore, will take place in May 2021. Every year meeting is scheduled in Switzerland and this was second time in the history of World Economic Forum When meeting has been held outside the Switzerland; first time it was at New York in 2002. 

After corona pandemic, Davos agenda 2021, held in Singapore was the first summit of WEF. Due to corona pandemic, the summit was organized via video conferencing. Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab said in December 2021: "The special annual meeting 2021 will be the first meeting of global leaders since global pandemic and much importance to address how we can recover together".

About World Economic Forum

World Economic Forum, an independent international organization was founded on January 1971 by Klaus Schwab. World Economic Forum is a global platform where the leaders from state or government, business, civil society, academia and other international organizations comes together to address the critical issues to improve the state of the world. Annual meeting of World Economic Forum is hosted at the end of January every year in Davos, Switzerland. Headquarters of World Economic Forum is at Cologny, Switzerland.

India's PM Modi at Davos summit-2021 | Highlights


Many world leader including Prime minister of India Narendra Modi, French President Emmanuel Macron, President of China Xi Jingping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, PM of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu and other world leaders have addressed the Davos agneda 2021 via video conferencing. PM Modi has addressed Davos agenda 2021 on Thursday, January 28. Prime Minister Narendra Modi told about India's continous effort to fight the corona virus outbreak and contribution of India for the rest of world during corona pandemic.

Key Point

PM Modi started with the message of confidence, positivity and hope for the world.

With the efforts of all Indians, we have controlled corona in country.

India has perfomred its responsibility very well towards the global community by sending vaccines.

World's largest vaccination programme has been launched in India and more than 2.3 million healthcare workers vaccinated in last 12 days.

India took more than one lakh people to their coutries, when airspace of many coutries was closed.

India delivered essential medicines to more than 150 countries. 

PM also focused on increase of digital payment during lockdown. Transactions of 4 billion in the month of December 2020 only . More than amount of Rs. 1.8 trillion has been transferred to bank account of more than 760 million needy people during lockdown period. 

Success of India will help in the success of whole world.

India has reliability and capability to strengthen Global Supply Chain.

PM Modi also mentioned about Industry 4.0 (Fourth Industry Revolution using Technology) and its four pillar : Connectivity, Automation, Artificial Intelligene or Machine learning and Real time data.

Technology must be tool for ease of living, but not a trap.
