Hello friends, today I am going to tell you
about High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) number plate. According to new MOTOR VEHICLE (AMENDMENT)
Act 2019, many heavy fines were introduced.
In this Act, there was a new provision
introduced that HSRP number plate is mandatory for all vehicles sold before
April 2019. All states have to implement in their states. According to new
MOTOR VEHICLE (AMENDMENT) Act 2019, fine of amount Rs. 10,000 would be imposed
on violators. But central govt has given relaxation to state govt to decide
fine amount.
It has been seen that since last week, Delhi
Transport Department has started to impose the fine on vehicles without HSRP of
amount Rs. 5500.
What is HSRP?
A High Security Registration Plate is made up
of aluminium having two non reusable locks. A Permanent Identification Number of 10 digits
is encoded in HSRP. HSRP comes with chromium based hologram of Ashoka Chakra. A
colour coded fuel sticker also placed to identify the fuel of vehicle: blue to
petrol and CNG, orange for diesel and green for electrical. Due to these entire
factors it is much difficult to temper the HSRP.
How can you
get HSRP and colour coded fuel sticker?
Vehicle owner from UP and Delhi can purchase
HSRP and colour coded fuel sticker from bookmyhsrp.com. Portal is authorized by
government to provide HSRP.
Central govt has not capped the cost of HSRP.
Therefore, cost may differ from state to state. Vehicle owner has to pay between Rs. 400 and Rs. 1100 depending
whether vehicle is two or four wheeler for HSRP and additional Rs. 100 for the colour coded fuel sticker.
