In the Indian Express Idea Exchange program, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways and Minister of MSME, Nitin Gadkari said “Elon Musk-owned clean energy and Electric Vehicle (EV) company - Tesla is expected to start operations in India by early 2021”.
Gadkari said that Tesla will start with sales of its electrical cars and
in future company will start manufacturing and assembling of electrical vehicles
in India.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla in October 2020 also announced that his company Tesla would come to India in 2021.
It is expected that company will start online booking with Model 3 from January 2021 and sales will start from June 2021.
