नमस्कार दोस्तों, in today's blog I will tell about precautionary advise given by Bharat Biotech about its Covaxin. Covaxin is Covis-19 vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech. I will tell you everything about advisory isseud by Bharat Biotech. Let's start with me.
First, let me tell you something about Bharat Biotech and it's vaccine known Covaxin. Bharat Biotech is a Indian private biotechnology company, headquartered in Hyderabad. Company engaged in the development of drugs, manufacture of vaccines, pharmaceuticals and health care products. Bharat Biotech developed Covaxin in the collaboration with National Institute of Virology and Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR).
Two vaccines have been given approval for vaccination by the government of India. One is Covishield, developed by Oxford and AstraZeneca. Mass production of Covishield is being done in India by Serum Institute of India, Pune. Second is Covaxin, developed by Bharat Biotech. Accorrding to Health Ministry, 4,54,049 people have been vaccinated till January 19, 2021, Tuesday.
Bharat Biotech released precautionary advisory on Monday that people with medical conditions SHOULD AVOID the vaccine shot of Covaxin.
"Bharat Biotech, as part of its precautionary advice, has said people on medicines that affect their immune system should not take its vaccine Covaxin. Close on the heels of some adverse incidents being reported, a detailed fact sheet released by Bharat Biotech says those with bleeding disorders or on blood thinners should avoid taking the shot for now". People with fever or allergy or bleeding disorder or pregnant or breastfeeding women or people already received another vaccine shot or any other serious disease have been advised NOT TO TAKE shot of Bharat Biotech's Covaxin.
Bharat Biotech's Covaxin has been approved by 11 states for inoculation in the first phase of the COVID-19 vaccination programme . The company is still conducting Phase 3 clinical trials. Therefore, earlier Company also announced for compensation in the form of hospitalisation and medical expenses in case it is proven that causality happened due to Covaxin.
