Massive gold treasure was discovered in Turkey's
central west region, Sogut. Total weight of discovered gold is said to be 99
tonnes and its value is speculated to be $6 billion or INR 44,000 crores. The
gold is discovered by Gubretas Fertilizer Production Company. News is confirmed
by Turkish news agency Andolu. The value of this gold treasure is much more
than the GDPs of many countries like Maldives: $4.87 billion, Bhutan: $2.53
billion, Liberia: $3.29 billion, Burundi: $3.17 billion, Lesotho: $2.28 many
more. These economies are lesser than gold discovered in Turkey. The gold will
be mined in next two years bringing value to the Turkish economy: Fahrettin
Poyraz, chief of agricultural credit cooperatives of Turkish Gubretas Fertilizer Production firm.
