US President Donald Trump's twitter account @realDonaldTrump
has been banned permanently by Twitter due to "the risk of further
incitement of violence", said Company. It's a major action by a Company
that a Company banned the present President of same country.
On January 7, in my blog entitled "US Capitol Hill Violence", I explained in detail that President Donald Trump gave
inflammatory speech on January 6, after that pro-Trump mob stormed the Capitol
Hill and President Trump called them patriots. Therefore, Twitter had locked
Trump's Twitter account @realDonaldTrump for 12 hours and also warned if such
activities repeated in future; his twitter account @realDonaldTrump would be
suspended permanently. After 12 hours Trump's twitter account is activated and
on Thursday, Trump posted a short video pledging to support peaceful transition
of power.
But On January 8, President Donald Trump again
twitted that "The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me
AMERICA FIRST and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN will have a GAINT VIOCE long into
the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape
or form". Further President tweeted "To all of those who have asked,
I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th."
After these tweets Company said on Friday: "After close
review of recent Tweets from the @realDonalTrump account and the context around
them - specifically how they are being received and intercepted on and off
Twitter - we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further
incitement of violence". Moreover, Twitter also permanently suspended
@TeamTrump account. Twitter said both of these tweets were in the violation of
the Glorification of Violence Policy.
After permanently ban from Twitter President Trump again
tweeted from @POTUS account [POTUS: President Of The US] that "He has been
negotiating with other sites and would have a big announcement soon and also he
is looking at building his own platform. We will not be SILENCED", he
wrote telling supporters to STAY TUNED": USA TODAY.
@POTUS is US government official Twitter account.
Hence, these tweets were deleted by Company. But @POTUS is not suspended.
Twitter account @POTUS will be active on in future.
