नमस्कार दोस्तों, in this blog, I will tell you about new hyperloop transportation technology. We will know everthing about hyperloop technology like what is hyperloop, what are the uses, applications and also about hyperloop projects in India. Let's start with me.
What is Hyperloop?
Hyperloop is new advanced ground based ultra high speed transportation technology that needs less power, cheaper but faster than railway as well as airlines. In Hyperloop transportation system, the pods or capsules travel through a low pressure, near vacuum condition tube or tunnel. Pods or capsules carrying passengers don't have wheels like car or train rather than pods are designed in such a way to move using magnetic levitation inside the tube.
Pods carrying passengers could move at the speed of mire than 1200 km/h in long tube using solar energy. The low pressure and near vacuum condition in tube would reduce the air resistance and friction resulting increase of speed. Further high speed is achieved as pods don't have wheels but move using magnetic levitation inside the tube.
Pods are not subjected to shutdown due to harsh weather, because pods travel inside a tube.
First Idea
In 2012, Entrepreneur Elon Musk, co-founder of Tesla, envisioned a new ultra fast, weather-proof and safer transportation system. Musk called it Hyperloop. Hyperloop would be faster, cheaper and less polluting than existing ground and air based transportation system.
First test of Hyperloop with Human passengers
'Virgin Hyperloop', founded in 2014 is emerged as major a company to develop the concept of hyperloop. Virgin Hyperloop conducted its first test successfully of hylerloop ultra fast transportation system with human passengers in November, 2020. The test was conducted in a desert outside of Las Vegas, where the company built a 500-meter long and 3.3 meters in diameter near vacuum condition tube as a test track.
Hyperloop in India
In February 2018, Chairman of Virgin Hyperloop, Richard Branson had attended Magnetic Maharashtra organized by state government of Maharashtra at the time of Cheif Minister Devendra Fradnavis. Richard Branson had announced to setup the hyperloop in Maharashtra between Pune to Navi Mumbai. Pune-Mumbai Hyperloop would reduce the travelling time between the two cities from 3 hours to merely 25 minutes. But after assembly election 2019, newly elected government of Maharashtra has stopped Pune - Mumbai hyperloop project. Deputy Cheif Minister, Ajit Panwar said: "Project was still in its experimental stage, and had not been implemented anywhere in the world”.
