Tesla in India: Registers itself as a Company in Bengaluru

World's largest electrical vehicle manufacturing Company Tesla enters in India and set up its first office in Bengaluru, India. Hope, you have read my recent blog "Tesla coming to India confirmed by Nitin Gadkari". Last Month, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari had confirmed that Tesla is coming to India in early 2021 and will start with sales of its electrical cars; company will start manufacturing and assembling of electrical vehicles in future. Now the speculation ended and the time has come when Elon Musk's Tesla enters in India, registers itself as a company in Bengaluru.

"Tesla Motors India and Energy Private Limited was incorporated on January 8 with its registered office in Lavelle Road in Bengaluru." The Indian Express.

"According to the Registrar of Companies (RoC), the entity is registered as an unlisted private company with an authorised capital of Rs 15 lakh and paid-up capital of Rs 1 lakh." TOI.

"Karnataka will lead India's journey towards Green Mobility. Electric Vehicle Manufacturer Tesla will soon start its operations in India with an R&D unit in Bengaluru. I welcome @elonmusk to India & Karnataka and wish him all the very best." Karnatake Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.

The company has currently appointed three persons as directors: Vaibhav Taneja, Venkatrangam Sreeram, and David John Feinstein.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had told in December 2020 that Tesla's Model 3 will be launched first in India. Model 3 is cheapest model amoung Tesla's electrical vehicles. According to report starting price of Model 3 is Rs. 55 lakhs and It is expected that company will start online booking with Model 3 from January 2021 and sales will start from June 2021.
