In today's blog we will talk about FIVE Eyes Group. Hope, you have heard the name earlier. Few months ago FIVE Eyes group was in news; when the world want to know about origin of CORONA virus and again FIVE Eyes is in news. We will discuss everything about FIVE Eyes. Let's start with me.
FIVE Eyes group is an Intelligence
alliance, comprising five countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia
and New Zealand. It is
believed that FIVE Eyes intelligence alliance is world's best intelligence
network. The group is highly secretive. Hence, there is no any headquarter or
press release of FIVE Eyes. Now, Japan can be next countries to become SIXth
Eye of this intelligence alliance. After joining, Japan will be first Asian
country of this alliance. Not only in Indian media but also International media
are also covering this news.
"Japan is Ready to Become a Formal
Member of FIVE EYES": CSIS (Center for Strategic and International
Studies).
“Japan wants de facto ‘Six Eyes’
intelligence status": defense chief (Japan): NIKKEI Asia.
“Japan to join FIVE Eyes to check china's
clampdown on Uyghurs”. Japan
is being included in FIVE Eyes alliance to keep eye on North Korea and China.
Last year, Japan had provided intelligence to US and UK on forceful detainment
of Uyghur Muslims minority in China. US and UK stepped up their criticism
against China's severe crackdown on Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang, China. Based on
the information provided by Japan, Trump Administration placed many sanctions
on Beijing for Human rights violations: Hindustan
Times.
“As defense minister and the one
responsible for Japan’s security, I have to say that I have very grave concerns
about Chinese activity in the East China Sea and South China Sea”, Kono
(defense chief of Japan) said.
On the other hand, Does FIVE Eyes alliance wants that Japan
to become SIX Eye of this intelligence alliance. The major concern with Japan
is that Japan has no intelligence agency. In Japan intelligence is handled by
police.
