"Mega leather cluster in Kanpur gets centre's node: Getting a go ahead from the Centre, Uttar Pardesh is ready to set up its first leather park of its mega leather cluster in Ramainpur village of Kanpur. The project is expected to bring in investment to the tune of Rs 5850 crore and will provide employment to about 50,000 people." TOI.
Kanpur is well known for leather industryHope, you have already heard about leather industry of Kanpur and leather. Products of Kanpur are famous across the country. Now, a mega leather cluster approved by central government I'm December 2020. The project got approval by Union Ministry of Commerce. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is likely to lay the foundation stone of the project in coming days. This cluster will give a big boost to leather industry of Kanpur.
After the establishment of this mega leather cluster in Kanpur, Utter Pradesh will become firdt state of country to set up leather park.
"According to a government spokesperson, 235 acre land has been acquired for the project which will generate 50,000 direct and 1.5 lakh indirect employment. The leather park is expected to bring in investment of about Rs 6,000 crore while the entire mega leather cluster project will attract investments of about Rs 13,000 crore." TOI
